CNC Punching Norwich
Norwich businesses that need punched sheet metal parts delivered accurately and on schedule can count on DB Sheetmetals. We’ve been fabricating for over 30 years from our Haverhill workshop, and our CNC punching service is one of the quickest routes from a finished drawing to a stack of identical parts.
What the EM MII Series Brings to Your Project
Our punching runs on the EM MII Series, a newer-generation electric machine. Its Z turret holds upper and lower discs of varying diameters, so the right tool is usually in place when a job starts. Barcode checks on the tooling catch installation mistakes before they reach the sheet, which protects both part quality and your deadline.
Travel along the X-axis stretches to 3050mm, enough to punch a 5′ by 10′ sheet in one setting. Every time a sheet is moved mid-job, there’s a chance of drift. Keeping it still means holes line up from one end of the panel to the other, and larger components cost less per part.
How Much Detail Can It Handle?
More than you might think. We once punched a car image into a 2500 by 1200mm panel using nothing but holes of different sizes. It ran to over 30,000 holes and took around 30 minutes. That’s an extreme example, but it shows what’s possible for perforated panels and decorative screens.
Once a program is saved, it can be recalled whenever you reorder, so part 500 matches part one and next year’s batch matches this year’s. For Norwich customers with ongoing demand, that means fewer surprises and a quicker turnaround each time.
Parts don’t need to leave our workshop between stages. We can laser cut details that punching can’t reach, form the bends on our press brakes, weld assemblies together and powder coat the finished item. Your order then travels to Norwich on our own delivery lorry.
